We have four separate, external courtyards where you can relax, read a book or enjoy a cream tea or a glass of wine. The central courtyard is great for al fresco dining but be sure to ask staff if you are looking for a little seclusion and peace and quiet.

Inside, the Suffolk inn offers two comfortable bar areas featuring bespoke hand decorated walls by Adam Calkin, exposed beams and a welcoming open fire in an original brick fireplace. There is a choice of stylish seating in which to relax and enjoy a drink from the well-stocked bar with an impressive selection of local ales, spirits and an excellent wine list.

Dining tables are available in the bar area which is a very popular place to eat, and we would recommend booking in advance.

Wine

Our eclectic wine list perfectly around our menu to compliment and contrast every dish. With coastal grown whites like our Spanish Albarino which has citrus and saline to marry with the flavours of our sumptuous fish dishes.

Or our intense and rich Amarone, perfect to pair with one of our beef dishes. Whether you are joining us for a glass of blush rose in the Suffolk sunshine,  a vintage champagne for a special occasion or would prefer an indulgent red wine in front of one of our open log fires – we encourage you to unwind and enjoy.
