Explore The Bildeston Crown fully and enjoy the myriad of quiet corners and secluded sun spots to truly unwind and make the most of your stay.

We have four separate, external courtyards where you can relax, read a book or enjoy a cream tea or a glass of wine. The central courtyard is great for al fresco dining but be sure to ask staff if you are looking for a little seclusion and peace and quiet.

Inside, the Suffolk inn offers two comfortable bar areas featuring bespoke hand decorated walls by Adam Calkin, exposed beams and a welcoming open fire in an original brick fireplace. There is a choice of stylish seating in which to relax and enjoy a drink from the well-stocked bar with an impressive selection of local ales, spirits and an excellent wine list.

Dining tables are available in the bar area which is a very popular place to eat, and we would recommend booking in advance.

Our eclectic wine list perfectly around our menu to compliment and contrast every dish. With coastal grown whites like our Spanish Albarino which has citrus and saline to marry with the flavours of our sumptuous Stone Bass dish.

Or our intense and rich Amarone, perfect with a rib of Red Poll beef to share. Whether you are joining us for a glass of blush rose in the Suffolk sunshine,  a vintage champagne for a special occasion or would prefer an indulgent red wine in front of one of our open log fires – we encourage you to unwind and enjoy.

Local Beer & Cider

We make the most of the fantastic breweries in our area such as Adnams Ghost Ship – (inspired by a certain hand painted pub) – it is a hoppy, zesty pale ale and a favourite with many.

In addition we also feature many seasonal ales such as Adnams Fat Sprat as well as Greene King who produce a wide variety of fantastic ales from guest brewers which alongside their smooth pour East Coast IPA cater for all tastes.

Alternatively you can enjoy a refreshing pinto of Peroni in one of our courtyards during the summer months.
