We're a Eat Game Awards 2025 Finalist! Not only have we made the shortlist for Best Pub, but the rather fabulous Greig Young, our Executive Chef, has made the shortlist for Best Game Chef. We'd appreciate a bit of love - and your vote!
With a focus on estate to plate dining our team are committed to cooking up the plentiful supply of Suffolk produce and wild game sourced on the estate. Our sustainability mission continues as we have just recently announced our Gamekeeper’s Supper!
We are incredibly lucky as our pub is part of an expansive and bountiful Estate, that allows us to grow and much of the food we serve. Our Nedging Hall Kitchen gardens are what provide us with herbs and the vegetables that accompany our tasty dishes, and so much more. Our menus are ever changing as the seasonality of our produce does too.
Our focus on limiting environmental impact is what has enabled us to enhance our menu’s flavour and selection as it sparks creativity among our chefs. We never view the changing of available produce as limiting, but rather as something that encourages a wider array of high-quality cuisine.
Our Gamekeeper’s Supper also aligns with this same ethos, as the game too is sourced from the estate. The shoots are held on the estate, to maintain a healthy population and ensure a balanced ecosystem.
Our focus on game and its sustainability has also earned us recognition from Eat Game which is a group “aiming to educate, inspire and promote benefits of sustainable, delicious game meat.” This recognition has earned us a place on their shortlist for the Eat Game 2025 awards in the Best Restaurant/Pub category. We are especially excited to receive this news and encourage all to support us by voting!
